Attado Spud Shiraki passed away peacefully at the age of 92.  Spud was an Azusa born Nisei, WWII Veteran and member of the 442nd RCT.   He then married and settled in the Venice/Mar Vista area to raise his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Hinako Trea; sons, Jedsen (Nancy), Jamie (Mika) and Jc (Liz) Shiraki; daughters, June (Mike) Miyamoto and Jocelyn (Don) Tahara;  9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

His rooted presence as the patriarch of his large extended family will be deeply missed.  We will all carry his broad smile and great sense of humor in our hearts always.

Memorial services will be held at HOMPA HONGWANJI BUDDHIST TEMPLE, 815 East First Street Los Angeles, on Sat. July 18, 2015 at 10:00am
