Obituary
Atsuko Nishida, 84, passed away peacefully on May 10th 2016 in Los Angeles, CA. She is pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Shiro Nishida; survived by her children Yuko (Paul) Chan, Hitomi (Glenn) Nishinaka, Norikazu (Tami) Nishida and Takashi (Kris) Nishida and her 13 grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, sister, nephews, nieces, brothers/sisters-in-laws in CA, Japan and Hawaii.
Atsuko was born in Kumamoto, Japan on July 6, 1931. She was the oldest of 6 children (2 girls and 4 boys). Atsuko was a wonderful and supportive wife, mother and grandmother. She is recognized and appreciated by her children and grandkids as the silent backbone of the family, nurturing and strong in her own way. Atsuko lived a happy and full life, surrounded by her family of 23.
Private funeral service was held on Sat. May 21, at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Rev. Koho Takata of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.
