Amy Watada passed away peacefully on Sept. 7 after a brave 3-year battle with cancer. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, an avid cook and bridge player, and seasoned world-traveler. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 57 years, Ben Goro Watada, son Jon (Joy), daughter Dana Reese (Shawn), son Curt, and son Gregg (Nicole), eight grandchildren, sister Ruby (Bill) Sumida, brothers, Paul (Reiko) and Dale (Kazuko) Ogawa, and many nieces, nephews and relatives. She was preceded in death by brother Don.
Amy's memorial service will be held on Sat. Oct. 8 at 10am at Cerritos Baptist Church, 11947 Del Amo Blvd., Cerritos, CA 90703
