ALICE YAMASHITA

(January 22, 1925 – February 23, 2020)

Alice Yamashita, a 95-year-old, California-born Nisei resident of Los Angeles, former internee of Heart Mountain during WWII passed away peacefully on February 23, 2020.

Alice was predeceased by her husband, Hiroji, her son, Jim (April) Yamashita and her daughter, Kathy Yamashita.  She is survived by her children, Gloria Yamashita, Peggy (Ivan) Pang and Judy (Scott) McClinton; grandchildren, Michael Yamashita, Byron Pang, Jeffrey Pang, Tracie Pang and Jennifer McClinton; siblings Ruby Nishio and Fred Hifumi; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
