Private family services for the late Akiyo Kawamoto, 93-year-old, Hawaii born, resident of Gardena, who passed away on June 9, 2020 were held on June 27 ^th at Green Hills Memorial Park graveside with Rev. John Iwohara of Gardena Buddhist Church officiating.

She is survived by her loving family; sons, Derrick (Mona) Kawamoto and Dean (Susan) Kawamoto; grandchildren, Michael, Steven, and Tyler Kawamoto; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Hawaii.

Public funeral service will be held on after the church opens around September.
