Obituary
Akira Minamide, 83 year old Nisei resident of Los Angeles, CA, 442nd RCT WWII veteran, passed away on Oct. 6, 2007. Visitation Oct. 12, 7:00 p.m. at Fukui Mortuary, 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles. Funeral services Oct. 13, 10:00 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 S. Central Ave., Los Angeles.
He is survived by wife Takako, daughters Christine Wendie (Alan) Shimizu, Shelby (Mark) Young, son John (Joan) Minamide, brothers Ben (Mae) Minamide and Tatsuo (Kazue) Nakatani of Japan, sister Helen (Lita) Okazaki, sister-in-law Mary Minamide, and also many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
At the request of family, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Go For Broke National Education Center for 442nd 100th/MIS. (310)-328-0907
