Obituary
KURASHIGE, Akira, 87, Veteran of WW II, passed away on December 10, 2009.
Private family funeral service was held on Sunday, December 20, at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Bishop Taisen Miyata of Koyasan Buddhist Temple officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie; daughters, Jerine (Ed Elliott) Kurashige and Loris (Norm) Endo; grand-daughters, Amelia and Darcey Kurashige-Elliott; brother, Tadashi (Shigeko) Kurashige; sisters, Masaye Uchiyama of Hawaii and Barbara Ingram of Tennessee; brother-in-law Harry (Seiko) Saito; sister-in-law Leatrice (Edward) Onaga of Hawaii, also survived by many relatives here and throughout the mainland and Hawaii.
