Akiko Yagi, 101 , California born resident of West Los Angeles, passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2026. Predeceased by husband, Steve and son-in-law Glenn Shimizu; she is survived by her children, Ron (Linda) Yagi, Linda Shimizu and Annie (Bryan) Kakehashi; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was an avid Laker fan, enjoyed traveling, going to Las Vegas and spending time with family. Aki was a devoted member of the WLA United Methodist Church where she made many lifelong friends. Private family services will be held at a later date.
