Private family funeral service for Akiko Ishigaki, 84-year-old, Aichi-ken born, resident of S. El Monte who passed away on Dec. 2, 2017, was held on Monday, Dec. 18 at  Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with a minister from Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple officiating.

She is survived by her sons, Steven Mitsuhiko and Douglas Tsugumi Ishigaki; daughters, Nancy Yoko Ishigaki and Marjorie Iyo Garcia; step brother, Ronald Teruo Ishigaki; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Reiko Ito and Saeko Nishio both of Japan; brother, Masaaki Hashimoto of Japan; many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan.
