Funeral service for AKI TSUKAHARA, 92, a Fukuoka, Japan, born Nisei and a resident of Gardena who passed away on February 7, will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2:00 PM at Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 West 158 ^th St., Gardena. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gardena Valley Baptist Church, Keiro Services, Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute or the Japanese American National Museum in her memory.

She was the widow of the late Paul Y. Tsukahara, DDS and the eldest daughter of the late Dr. Kikuwo and Moto Tashiro. She is survived by her son, Ken (Sharon) Tsukahara of Saratoga; daughters, Mardy (Dr. Norman) Maehara and Louise Tsukahara; grandchildren, Dr.  Darren, Paige and Curtis Maehara and Alex and Evan Tsukahara; sisters, Sachi Watanabe of Bellevue, Frances (Bruce) Kaji, Cookie Atsumi and many nephews , nieces and other relatives.
