Aiko Kohatsu was born in 1931 in Los Angeles, she also lived in Brawley, Santa Maria, and was interned during WWII with the Kohatsu family in Block 59 at Poston Relocation Center in Arizona.

She had 3 brothers -  Yoko, George, and Takeshi, and, one sister, Mitsuko Kohatsu, and leaves two sisters-in-laws, and many loving nieces and nephews. Aiko worked at Good Samaritan Hospital, and for Dr. Wishner in Los Angeles.  She enjoyed living at Atherton Baptist Homes in Alhambra, at the time of her passing on Dec. 22, 2018.  May she rest in peace with her beloved family.
